Brian J. Showers


Brian J. Showers is originally from Madison, Wisconsin. He attended that fine city's university, and graduated in 1999 with a degree in English Literature and Communication Arts. He is the author of The Bleeding Horse and Other Ghost Stories (Mercier Press, 2008), winner of the 2008 Children of the Night Award; and Literary Walking Tours of Gothic Dublin (Nonsuch Ireland, 2006). He has also written numerous chapbooks, articles and reviews. He currently resides on the Emerald Isle, somewhere in the verdant and ghost-haunted wilderness of Dublin City, where he is busy at work on his next collection of strange tales. Duane Spurlock


Except for three years as a bookseller, illustrator Duane Spurlock's professional career has centered on publishing--as a newspaper writer, editor-in-chief for software how-to journals, editorial director for internet publisher Emazing.com, and publications director in the health care field. He maintains The Pulp Rack, which focuses on the popular fiction published in magazines during the first half of the twentieth century. Duane has illustrated five chapbooks for The Swan River Press and did interior illustrations for Literary Walking Tours of Gothic Dublin and The Bleeding Horse and Other Ghost Stories. He and his wife and their children live and garden, read and draw, and tell stories to one another in Kentucky.


Albert Power


Albert Power trained as a lawyer, taking the degree of PhD in incorporeal land law in 1998. He has published a book on this topic and a number of articles. Albert has been editor of the Bram Stoker Society Journal from 1996 to 2001. His enthusiasms include the music of nineteenth century Russia's Mighty Handful; Anton Bruckner; and the baroque violin maestri, Arcangelo Corelli, Antonio Vivaldi and Giuseppe Tartini. Also the gothic and ghostly tradition in literature, in which he is currently engaged in a number of projects.


Meggan Kehrli

Meggan Kehrli is the illustrator of The Old Tailor & The Gaunt Man, many of The Swan River Press's Haunted History series, and the cover artist for Literary Walking Tours of Gothic Dublin. In real life, she runs a graphic design studio in lovely Chicago, the great metropolis somewhere between New York and Los Angeles. Her studio work includes a broad range projects--from corporate collateral to holiday cards.
